OUTAGE is an original concept I developed over my first year in the PCC Multimedia program. The story follows Phoebe, an accomplished scientist sent to space with a team of 4 other brilliant researchers to collect DNA from a newly discovered planet that is suspected of inhabiting life. After the samples are successfully collected, the team sets their course back to Earth. That evening, the main power grid goes down, and the only lights on in the ship are the eerie red of the emergency lights. Hopelessly drifting through space, the team agrees to split up and investigate. This animatic features the reveal of the escaped sample that Phoebe discovers... and narrowly escapes.
